This podcast includes: Brad Layland and Pat Rhoades discussing how to build your best team with Chuck Scott. Chuck was an NFL player and then he became an area director for 20 years. He’s currently serving as Campaign Director for Carolina Point. Chuck went from needing to raise about $100,000 per year to a million a year.

Everyone has different gifts and you need to find business folks for this team. People who love fundraising, know a lot of people in the community and want to help. They’ll want to help after you’ve invited them to come to club, exposed them to camp, club and the difference this is making in the lives of kids. They get excited about it and then they tell the story and reproduce themselves.
We have an amazing product in Young Life but you’ve got to get people to see it themselves. This is a far better approach than just telling them about it.
First pray. Then find a partner. There’s something about twos that works. Then together, come up with a list of people. We have a high calling. Surround yourself with people who will walk this path with you. Don’t try to do this by yourself, it’s too hard and you’ll burn out.
